The concept here is simple, to be able to take any type of media from one device and stream it to another. For instance, a video or pictures from your phone to the xbox so you can view it on a bigger display. This should be familiar to Apple fans who use the airplay feature. The major win for Microsoft here is the multiplatform support. Smart Glass is said to support Windows 8, Windows Phone, Android and even iOS devices. WOW! This will be a killer feature. More details to come next week, stay tuned!

Ramon you beat me to it. I just saved an email to the staff about posting in a few minutes. Let me tell you why its so important in my eyes.
Earlier this month I went shopping for a new TV and was looking to take advantage of the dlna to stream music and video from the phone. I spent the better part of my day driving around only to find only a few tvs with that feature. I left without buying one and feeling like Apple was about to make billions off of TV OEMs support AirPlay and DLNA falling by the wayside. This move by Microsoft changes everything.
With hundreds of millions of Xbox 360 in homes already this ability to stream straight to Xbox will now have people not even bother with finding a compatible TV. Plus now the hundreds of millions of people with tablets and phones will be able to stream natively to the Xbox and the Windows 8 PCs. Sharing content between the devices (phones, tablets, PCs) will immediately be mainstream and not something people barely do.
The future for XBox and Windows/WP 8 looks promising. Can’t wait. Everyone should own an XBox. Damn that Samsung and Apple proprietary crap.
Let’s not forget, in terms of games, Smart Glass just leap-frogged Wii U. Nintendo is spending all this time coming up with a proprietary controller and Microsoft just enabled the same abilities on the devices you already own.
MS has done a great job, year after year, in making me glad I own an Xbox.
Rob Wilkinson / You are a life saver. It was hard to take, that when I went looking for the High Encryption veiorsn of sp6 and it was no where to be found. I would say I cannot believe Microsoft killed the link but it is indicative of how they think:- Who cares about old customers. Let them buy new again .A sincere and strong thank you to you for having taken the time to post it. It took me two days to find it but what a great feeling when I finally did. I will not again misplace a copy of it. You saved me a lot of money and time. Thanks,Rob
